Sam Richardson

Sam has been involved in tennis all his life.  He started playing age 10 and coaching at 17, going on to manage teams of coaches in the UK and abroad. For the past 10 years Sam has worked for the Lawn Tennis Association.  His current focus is to ensure as many places to play offer high quality programs that will help grow the sport. Sam is married to Camilla, has one son (Oscar) and a girl on the way – he is a keen runner and is regularly pushing himself in endurance events. Sam is passionate about the power of sport and physical and mental challenges to help people be the best they can be. Understanding how to work in a team, the focus, perseverance and grit it takes to succeed, and the fine balance of confidence and humility to deal with competition. This is all on top of the physical and psychological benefits of just getting outside and being active!

Beatrice York

Beatrice works full time doing strategy and business development as well as being involved with a variety of charities all over the UK. Beatrice is dyslexic and is passionate about helping other young people who learn slightly differently get the best results they can. Since she was 18 she has been an ambassador for the charity Children in Crisis who build schools and provide learning opportunities in conflict zones.

Beatrice believes that the best way to create lasting change is through providing the opportunities for young people to take a chance on themselves. Finding the confidence to believe in yourself can be so hard and through Big Change she wants to make sure young people have a chance to feel they can achieve anything. Through working with young people in the UK she has seen first hand that the possibilities are endless and wants to make sure we create a lasting change to the lives of the youth of the UK.

Holly Branson

Holly splits her time in two ways. Half is spent working at Virgin Management focusing on the purpose of the group and is focused on making Virgin the best place to work.  The rest of her time is spent on philanthropic activities – she is Chair of Virgin Unite, a Trustee and Founder of Big Change, a Trustee of Free the Children UK and Co-Chair of WE Day UK as well as a patron of Virgin Money Giving.

Holly is passionate about making a difference to youth in the UK – both by inspiring and engaging young people with positive role models and opportunities and by supporting the people and projects on the frontline making the change a reality.  She believes in the power of energy to make a real difference in the world – if everyone made the effort to focus their energy on creating a positive change imagine what we could all achieve!
